No freakin' way

I was debating on posting about my second uni assignment being submitted today (12 hours before the deadline) but as I had to get it done tonight because the cut off is noon and I've only just finished, I wasn't feeling as smug as I did with my first piece of work. Then I realised that both pieces of work I submitted at exactly 00:27 the night before they were due - how freaky is that?!!!

Thanksgiving Kitchen update

3:30 kitchen update
From left to right:
Macaroni cooked
Sweet potatoes peeled and on stove (but peeling still on counter top waiting for bin).



3:45 - call to mom. Another question. This time about mac and cheese



4:20 kitchen update
From left to right:
Mac & cheese almost ready for the oven, but I need to grate more cheese.
Cutting marshmallows
Carrots waiting to be peeled and chopped
Sweet potatoes on stove, mashed and ready for dish. Just need marshmallows.



We don't have "mini" marshmallows, so I'm cutting big ones up to make my own :-)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

The shirt makes another appearance! I think I've had this shirt sine I was 14? It's gotten a fair share of wear and it's been tradition for several years now (no matter how tacky it is ;-)



Thanksgiving is not complete without eggnog! So I stopped by Starbucks and got an eggnog latte (minus the coffee part). Only way I can get eggnog in England. It works!

University

I just submitted my first piece of work for uni - 12 whole hours early. You might not be impressed by this, but I am! I'm even more impressed that I finished it last night and made a couple changes this morning but it was done 24 hours before the deadline (I just haven't been online to submit it before now ... too busy making a pumpkin pie :)


Proof that's it's been submitted. So you can't see that it was 12 hours early, you just have to take my word for it. It's due at noon on 24th and I submitted at 00:27. Yea me :)

Smells yummy! Looks pretty. Tomorrow will be the true test - fingers crossed it tastes good too!

Thanksgiving is near

Fireworks night & Mark's birthday

My friend (and former neighbour), Mark, had his birthday celebrations on firework night this year - fun stuff! It was a challenge getting a group of 20ish people to and from a big fireworks site together - we made it together but then got broken up while watching the fireworks. All was ok because everyone ended back at his place for some pizza and a few drinks. Lovely eve!

Beautiful view

A couple weeks ago I was walking home from and realised how beautiful the view from my window is - look at all the beautiful trees and the colours. Just gorgeous!!!

(For those of you who know my mother - this sounds just like her, eh?!! There's no denying my genes!)

New Boots!

These are my new boots. I love them for many reasons. The obvious - they're really lovely looking boots. But more than that, I love them because I was able to by them off the shelf at a normal store, I've never been able to fit in boots at "normal" stores before. LOVE IT!
